Cauliflower downy mildew is a common disease on cauliflower, closely associated with overcast and rainy weather as well as high humidity. Once it occurs, leaf spots develop and premature defoliation follows, reducing yield. The key to controlling cauliflower downy mildew lies in early prevention and the selection of the appropriate fungicide—Shuanghu (Propamocarb Hydrochloride 605 g/L SL) is registered for use against downy mildew on cauliflower and can be applied by foliar spraying according to the label instructions.
Symptoms of downy mildew in cauliflower typically appear on the leaves first, with lesions spreading from the lower to the upper parts of the plant and increasing in number over time. In the early stage, the symptoms are inconspicuous; by the time the lesions coalesce into patches, spraying is often too late. Therefore, it is advisable to make frequent field inspections and apply the first spray as soon as lesions are observed on cauliflower, thereby suppressing the pathogen at an early stage.

Propamocarb Hydrochloride 605 g/L SL (Soluble Liquid), Registration No. PD20082783 (subject to the actual label). Primarily used for the control of downy mildew on cauliflower, and also effective against downy mildew on spinach and cucumber. Apply at a rate of 80–100 mL per mu (667 m²) diluted with water as a foliar spray. Spray at the early stage of disease development, and a repeat application may be made at intervals of 7–10 days depending on disease severity. Ensure sufficient water volume and thoroughly wet the affected plant parts.
Prolonged consecutive use of fungicides such as propamocarb hydrochloride can readily induce resistance in pathogenic fungi. It is recommended to rotate with fungicides of different modes of action. For specific dosage and water volume, always refer to the product label, as local crop varieties and weather conditions vary—do not simply copy application regimes used elsewhere.
